一間殘破老店掛牌營業，三個慰安婦─劉三妹、阿春、蔡金花為了滿足新時代性需要，再次奉獻自己的專業，戰戰兢兢不敢怠慢。儘管戰爭的陰影、天皇的耳語鬼魅般出沒於回憶和現實的縫隙。回憶幸福但又痛苦，三妹這個容易被挑動的琴弦，不停掉入與某人客甜蜜的過往，面對隔壁金花、阿春的嘲笑和諷刺，三妹盡其所能捍衛她所相信的一切，她取悅房裡不在場的人客，時而優雅時而淫蕩，慢板二黃客家老山歌全上，翻箱倒櫃穿起新女性青衣。阿春見狀心生惻隱，氣急暴躁想轉移她的注意力，但一不小心深埋自己心底的憤恨嫉妒無法遏抑挫地噴發。蔡金花心懷叵測趁隙正名，悄悄掛上頭牌，西裝高屐金扇大唱南梆子。這所有的騷亂就這樣發生在同一個深夜，同一座樹林，我們同一個回不去的燈火闌珊裡。
<Liu, San-Mei> is a woman who suffered as an army prostitute during the Second World War. The story begins at a fictional present when San-Mei eventually decides to reopen a brothel, returns to her profession as a sexual servant. She lives with two fellows, Jin-Hwa and Oharu, who represent two different cultural identities. Three prostitutes forgotten by the age of information are still possessed by certain mare. The story develops along with the endless repeating pattern of daily routines, and exposes certain bind of intimacy in darkness. It claims their nobility as gold, the darken tinseled gold.
